Potluck! Potluck!

On the 21st December 2007, taken a chance of the 1 day break, we had a small potluck party at my home!
We started the gathering as early as 4pm… Jessica brought in her “Lek Tao Th’ng” (Green bean dessert), Wendy fried us her mouth-watering oink-oink bihoon, Soo Theng brought in a delicious tray of lasagnia, Huan Lin make us a nice steamed chicken and blablabla…Loads of food!
I am so pleased that so many of my friends & colleagues and my special invited guests/ my old friends… Soo Theng, Arlene, Wei Ney, Bette, Huan Lin, Michael were able to join us that day, not forgetting, my boss Mr Soo, that able to make it too!
We had great fun and will try to arrange for another one to include those friends who are not able to make it that day! *wink*

The THING...

Today, Sunday…… I was scheduled to be on duty from 2pm to 10pm...Sigh!

After having lunch with my family, my hubby dropped me to my office, promised that he will take care of the children usual Sunday activities (my son’s revisions & my daughter’s afternoon nap) and will join me for dinner! Thanks, Dear *muak*

As I’ll be alone in the office, I locked the door after entering and started to clear my work. After a while, nature call & I need to go for ladies… I had a bad feeling, a very very bad felling… sigh! I sensed that I will meet the creature I hated & scared the most...CICAK, THE LIZARD!!! I visited Nicole for her 1st duty last night. Can’t forget that moment, I was screaming and running off when that THING was looking at me at the cabinet near the door)… So scared!

OMG!!! It is there! I dared not open the door(the ladies is outside); I ran back to my office to get Fumakilla HIT-Z Aerosol to spray on it… it ran in between the wall and the cabinet near the door. I was almost in tears, standing there… Stoned! Suddenly, it struggled and fell on the floor, right before the door. Oh! Shittttttt!!! I called the security( as they have the key to that door) to come rescue me.

2 minutes later, Security Lokman opened the door and tell me “Sudah mau mati lah, dia!” (Telling me that THING is almost dead!) I told him, “Buang! Buang! Tolong buang!”(Please throw that THING away)… he said okay and asked me if I have paper and where is the dustbin. I panicky said, “No! No! Flush! Flush away in the male toilet please!” Phew! He did it! He did it! Thank God!

***Sorry ya, no photo taken for the Hero or the THING, please bare with the Fumakilla shot la...I was too terrified ma! Almost cried ok!!!

Her Very 1st time...

Well… Today is the day of her very 1st time… She woke up with full discipline, looking forward to go to her “yellow school” (Melody Kindyland – all painted in yellow, with a Mascot of Giraffe and Ultraman at the compound)… She has always been wanted to go to school as my son has always talked about how much fun he had in Melody!

I put on her school uniform, S size was still a little too big for her but she looks so grown up! Bring along a small Mickey Mouse back-pack and her favourite “Princess” water tumble, she smiles all the way every single moment I took her photos…

Thank God that she loves school, (even a bit cranky after the Spiderman visit arranged by the school on the 2nd day) It takes me 2 days to settle her down. All the teachers and helper there were very helpful and experienced. She got settled down pretty fast… Thank God again!!!

Tight Schedule.....

Sorry for lack of updates lately…

After a week of my recent Hong Kong vacation with my family, my work schedule has been really tight, following through the arrangements for Christmas promotion materials and others… On top of that, my lil girl has started going to her Nursery on the 5th of December; I have been taking 6 half days to ensure she got settle down for it(This is the 1st time she’s ever to step in school). That leaves me only half day in office… So no time lo... :P

The Waits...

Last Saturday, 17 November 2007, after a sumptuous dinner at Yataimura, my hubby & I decided to take our son for a movie at the Golden Screen Cinema in Gurney Plaza. At first, we were thinking of watching the Bee Movie, but at last my boy actually chosen The Stardust instead!
After we bought the tickets, we have 2 hours plus to kill as the movie will only starts at 12:40am. So, we decided to have a lil tournament of Bowling (My son’s favourite game on my hubby’s mobile) at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Thanks to my hubby who taught me a lil trick & techniques to it. Otherwise, I might loose to the little bowler. I actually won him a few marks only, :P. My little girl was not with us that night, she wasn’t feeling well & midnight show too late for her… missed her companies! We had lots of fun and great quality time… Looking forward to it again, and for sure, with my girl too!

Adventure! Adventure!

After being my guinea-pig hahaha… (I’ve make everyone eat my 1st time Fried Yee Foo Noodles :P), I suggested to go walk-walk at The Queensbay Mall, Penang. We reached there at approximately 8.30pm. While my 2 nephews went happily skating at the ring with the crowd, I decided to enroll my two little ones at the “Ice Ballz Adventure Park”. I was amazed and impressed for that small little area, which is actually not that small after all. There are so many different types of activities and play besides the climbing ups & downs. Parent or guardian can accompany their children aged 7 and below without extra charge. Both my children had so much fun there… they played until people closed shop, 10.30pm *faint*.

Tambun Treat

On the 09th of November 2007, yesterday, the entire Sales Team knocked off as early as 6.30pm, headed towards Bukit Tambun for a seafood treat.
We enjoyed ourselves so much there, not only because of the sumptuous food, but the great companies… It was a pity that our Boss, Ms Yeap was down with food poisoning and not being able to join us. Otherwise, we believe it will be even a greater fun and laughter...
The treat was by both Wendy Ooi and Nina Tan, for their promotion they have recently earned. Congratulations to both of them! Keep up the good work!

The 2 insects...

As my son has to finish up his homework, I have to keep this little “Mei-Mei” (sister) occupied, so that she doesn’t “kacau” the “Ko-Ko” stationeries.

My hubby bought her a Disney Princess Magazine... As she was flipping through it, she suddenly found a butterfly mask on a girl’s face.

“Mommy, I want this! I want this!” ...

Gosh!!! What to do… All I have now is a box of crayons and some recycle papers. To keep her happy, I started to draw a butterfly on the recycle paper (took my son’s rough paper for his mathematic exercises! :P) and stuffed it with lots & lots of colours after cut out. She went, “yeah!” here, “yeah!” there, end up my son came out and starts negotiating for a Spiderman mask pula! Sigh! Again, what to do… have to do lo…!

I actually felt bad that I got to use all the cheap cheap materials for them, i.e. recycle papers, scotch-tape and 2 rubber bands to hook on their ears, hahaha! My God! But, but, but, they make me felt proud as they like it so much until they put beside their pillow when they slept that night! *wink*

He Made It !

The 2nd Sunday of September 2007, I woke him up at 6.30am. After wash-up, he put on his “Gi” (Karate Suit)himself, I tied on his green belt for him… That’s the day, my son went for his Karate grading from “Green” belt to “Blue”… He looked so smart!

He has just gotten his Green sometime the 1st quarter of this year… and he is going for Blue this time...

He told me, ”Mom, don’t worry! I can do it!”

Both of us reach the Grading Scene at approximately 7.30am, he reported himself to the Sensei-in-charge, lined up with full discipline and waiting for the Sensei to arrange all other batches.

The moment my dad arrived, my son were so happy, jumping up and down (suddenly forgotten the Sensei actually was looking at him), telling all his friends that his “Ah Kong” (Grandpa) came to support him. *Thank you, Papa!*

The grading sessions finally ended … and Yes! He made it! Yeah!

Butterflies....My Love

On the 13th of October 2007, 1st day of Hari Raya Holiday, my son suggested to go for an excursion to “See Snake”… Mana tau, when we reached the Reptiles Park at Bukit Jambul, it was closed down with the sign said “Moved to Forest Museum”. Not to disappoint my family, we drove all the way to Forest Museum which is located at the Teluk Bahang. ALAMAK! ...AGAIN! It was closed with a sign said “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri”.

Before my son’s tears rolls out from his eyes, I quickly suggested, “Let’s go to mommy’s favourite place… The Butterfly Farm!” Phew! At least, I heard them said, “Yippeeee!!!”

We enjoyed so much there, having to feel and catch the butterflies ;P . It was a good educational trip to my boy as he actually gets to know different type of insects and how butterfly actually transformed. My lil girl was kind of scared when the butterflies came near her, she loves them but dare not touch them. As for me, a good catch up with them. Butterflies, my favourite insects…

2007 Birthdays...Episode 2

For Mum…
Mum's birthday was on August and I invited my family over to my house to celebrate for her. So glad that my brother (He’s always busy…) was able to make it this time as this is the 1st time he ever been to my house after I moved in for 1 year+. We had steamboat dinner that night and everyone enjoyed so much that we planned to have my Dad's birthday party again for the following month before everyone goes home.

For Dad in-law…
All of us went for the Buffet Dinner at Evergreen Laurel on that Saturday. My nieces and nephews looked forward so much to have the Japanese Buffet there. The taste and varieties were really satisfying! One thing I have to confess… all of us totally forgot about the birthday cake! Thank goodness that I managed to get my friend Phoebe (who works there) to have it arranged, phew!

For Dad…
As planned, we have it at my house again (though we shifted the date to a week earlier…), everyone came by and this time my nieces and nephew brought along their swim-gear. They went to the pool to have some fun before the party starts… We had great fun!

For My Eldest Sister in KL…
Felt sorry for you and your hubby not able to join the fun… We shall arrange something when both of you are back in Penang! Cheers!

*** For Everyone…***
Sorry for my “Pun-Tua-Ness”(laziness) to have this 3 in 1 blog… Hehehehe!
I busy ma!!! :P

Happy Mooncake Festival!!!

Happy Mooncake Festival to all... to my 2 children, it was really a Happy Tang Lung Day!

Last nite, the actual night of the festival, my hubby & I decided to take them to our poolside... to carry Tang Lung, at the same time, hubby did his exercise, jogging and sit-ups, etc etc...

I've got my children some traditional lantern, as my hubby & I got so irritated with the battery operated ones they used to have. My son had his dragon (the head can move one... so cute!) and I've got my daughter a butterfly. I have also standby some paper type, luckily I have that because the poolside was so breezy that the dragon and butterfly just so difficult to lite-up.... Clever Mommy!!! :P

We had great fun! Wish it was the same to all of you too...!

Merdeka Breakfast

Good morning, Sunshine! A great wake up on Merdeka holiday on Friday, 31 August 2007 when daddy says, "Let's go breakfast at Old Town Cafe!" ... My boy jumping in joy because that is his favorite outlet that he can do the ordering... Look at him, busy doing the orders (even brought along his Poke-Ball with him!) For my lil girl, she's just kept repeating her order to the 'Ko-Ko', " I wanna eat mee! I wanna eat mee!" hahaha.... Then, the Ko-Ko finished up the last quarter of her mee! Slurp! Mmmm.... and she did the same with her hot chocolate!

The breakfast ended sweet, with a scoop of ice-cream for each of us *wink*! The 'aunty' at the table next to us commented "So early this family eat ice-cream." ... Merdeka!

*** This is a shot when the camera man (one of Old Town's staff) accidentally took before taking picture for us. Pandainya!

"Big Treat" after the "Big Flu" ...

On the 17 August 2007, my hubby and I went over to 32 Mansion for a candle light dinner (I was still with my flu bug though :P)
I was with a "Big Flu" then, and my kids wasn't with us, as my mum in-law wanted me to have a better rest and also to ensure her grandchildren not getting my flu virus. She is a Great Lady! Lucky Me!
My hubby insisted that I should go out for as I have been lying at home like a dead duck for the past 3 days. So, there we go ... his Big Treat at our favourite place. It has been quite a while since we have a chance like this! *wink*

After dinner, we went home straight as I was too exhausted (I was still sick ma...) and Zzzzz !!!

... Even if that was a dream, it was really a nice one!
