The 2 insects...

As my son has to finish up his homework, I have to keep this little “Mei-Mei” (sister) occupied, so that she doesn’t “kacau” the “Ko-Ko” stationeries.

My hubby bought her a Disney Princess Magazine... As she was flipping through it, she suddenly found a butterfly mask on a girl’s face.

“Mommy, I want this! I want this!” ...

Gosh!!! What to do… All I have now is a box of crayons and some recycle papers. To keep her happy, I started to draw a butterfly on the recycle paper (took my son’s rough paper for his mathematic exercises! :P) and stuffed it with lots & lots of colours after cut out. She went, “yeah!” here, “yeah!” there, end up my son came out and starts negotiating for a Spiderman mask pula! Sigh! Again, what to do… have to do lo…!

I actually felt bad that I got to use all the cheap cheap materials for them, i.e. recycle papers, scotch-tape and 2 rubber bands to hook on their ears, hahaha! My God! But, but, but, they make me felt proud as they like it so much until they put beside their pillow when they slept that night! *wink*

He Made It !

The 2nd Sunday of September 2007, I woke him up at 6.30am. After wash-up, he put on his “Gi” (Karate Suit)himself, I tied on his green belt for him… That’s the day, my son went for his Karate grading from “Green” belt to “Blue”… He looked so smart!

He has just gotten his Green sometime the 1st quarter of this year… and he is going for Blue this time...

He told me, ”Mom, don’t worry! I can do it!”

Both of us reach the Grading Scene at approximately 7.30am, he reported himself to the Sensei-in-charge, lined up with full discipline and waiting for the Sensei to arrange all other batches.

The moment my dad arrived, my son were so happy, jumping up and down (suddenly forgotten the Sensei actually was looking at him), telling all his friends that his “Ah Kong” (Grandpa) came to support him. *Thank you, Papa!*

The grading sessions finally ended … and Yes! He made it! Yeah!

Butterflies....My Love

On the 13th of October 2007, 1st day of Hari Raya Holiday, my son suggested to go for an excursion to “See Snake”… Mana tau, when we reached the Reptiles Park at Bukit Jambul, it was closed down with the sign said “Moved to Forest Museum”. Not to disappoint my family, we drove all the way to Forest Museum which is located at the Teluk Bahang. ALAMAK! ...AGAIN! It was closed with a sign said “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri”.

Before my son’s tears rolls out from his eyes, I quickly suggested, “Let’s go to mommy’s favourite place… The Butterfly Farm!” Phew! At least, I heard them said, “Yippeeee!!!”

We enjoyed so much there, having to feel and catch the butterflies ;P . It was a good educational trip to my boy as he actually gets to know different type of insects and how butterfly actually transformed. My lil girl was kind of scared when the butterflies came near her, she loves them but dare not touch them. As for me, a good catch up with them. Butterflies, my favourite insects…
